Introduction: Charles Lawson, a talented college graduate from a rural background, marries into the wealthy Campbell family. After joining Glensvalw's Campbell family, he is morally manipulated by his wife Kinsley and dedicates himself to managing Neon Corp. When Charles asks Kinsley for 3,000 dollars to buy a train ticket to visit his parents, she coldly refuses and has her bodyguards take his phone. Worried about their son, Charles' parents die in a highway accident caused by fatigue. After preparing the New Year Eve's dinner for the Campbell family, Charles learns of his parents' death. Unable to endure the oppression, he erupts in anger, overturning the dining table. He then decides to leave his unloving wife and child, abandoning the Campbell family.
