Introduction: Avril Jepsen enters the book to cure a terminal illness and has a son, Josh Snow, with the male lead, Mitch Snow. But when Josh and Hannah Reed stop her from marrying Mitch, Avril leaves, causing Josh and Mitch to fall into darkness. Returning to the book at the system’s request, Avril unexpectedly brings her real-world son, Finn Grant, with her. She rejects Mitch and plans to leave after Josh's birthday.
